PawTend SMS Program Terms & Conditions
Program Name: PawTend Customer Care & Account Alerts

These SMS Program Terms & Conditions ("SMS Terms") govern text messages sent through the PawTend platform ("PawTend," "we," "us," "our") on behalf of participating pet-care businesses (each, a "Facility"). By opting in to receive SMS messages, you agree to these SMS Terms.
If you do not agree, do not opt in.
1) Program Description
PawTend provides customer care and account notification SMS messages related to pet-care services you request or manage with a selected Facility. Messages may include:
- Appointment reminders and confirmations
- Scheduling updates or changes
- Check-in/check-out confirmations
- Care-status updates and service-related notices
- Invoices/receipts or account-related notifications (when applicable)
- Responses to your inbound questions and support requests
No unsolicited marketing messages are sent through this SMS program.
2) Who Sends Messages
Messages are sent by PawTend on behalf of the Facility you select in the PawTend platform. Facilities provide the underlying pet-care services; PawTend provides the software and messaging infrastructure.
3) Opt-In & Consent
You will only receive SMS messages if you explicitly opt in. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
You may opt in using one (or more) of the following methods:
A) Website / Mobile App Opt-In
- You enable SMS in your communication preferences (checkbox is unchecked by default) and provide your phone number.
- You may be asked to verify your number (for example, via a one-time code).
B) In-Person / Over-the-Phone Opt-In
A Facility staff member may collect your number and confirm your consent using a verbal disclosure script that includes message types, frequency, rates, and STOP/HELP instructions.
C) Text-to-Join (If Offered)
You may be asked to text a keyword such as START to confirm enrollment.
We record consent details (such as date/time, phone number, and opt-in method) as part of program compliance.
4) Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your activity and the services you request. Typical usage is up to ~10 messages per month, but it may be higher or lower depending on appointment activity and support interactions.
5) Costs
Message and data rates may apply. Charges are determined by your mobile carrier and plan. PawTend does not charge a fee to receive SMS messages.
6) Opt-Out (STOP)
You can opt out at any time by replying: STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT.
After you opt out, you will receive a confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent, unless you re-subscribe.
7) Re-Subscribe
To re-subscribe after opting out, reply START (if supported) or re-enable SMS in your PawTend communication preferences.

9) Supported Carriers / Delivery Disclaimer
SMS delivery depends on your carrier and device. Service may not be available on all carriers or in all areas. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
10) Privacy
PawTend collects and uses your phone number to provide the SMS program, verify your number, deliver transactional notifications, and provide customer support. We share information only with service providers necessary to deliver messages and operate the platform.

11) Changes to These SMS Terms
We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page prior to taking effect. Your continued participation in the SMS program after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated SMS Terms.
